  1. Beautiful shot Robin. It looks like you are getting the same kind of light that we are ;-)

  2. Thank you, Chris. Yes, late in the winter day is the most delicious light. It's often very pink, too turning the water pink.

  9. Oh, Robin, you are making me homesick!!! What an absolutely gorgeous shot! I'm really liking your new header!! I'll never forget the first time I saw Canada Burnet, up in Cape Breton. I fell in love then and there, on the spot. ~karen

  10. KaHolly, I'm delighted that you know what the header is! Indeed, Sanguisorba canadnesis, or "Great Burnett." It's in my garden. It is a plant I aggressively sought for years before finally finding it. I have moved it from places i have lived and taken it with me, too. As you can see from this image, the fall pollinators love it. It is often nearly alive with bees, hover flies, and so on. Thanks so much for the read, views and comments.

  13. Gorgeous light, Robin, makes it look so warm, so inviting, despite the cold. Glad to find out from reading the comments the name of the beautiful plant in your header.
