That is what comes to my mind with the imagage and the story combined. You have captured the pain, disappointment and dispare at discovering the work you have done has gone unappreciated by someone. It feels like a drive by shooting to one's self image, work ethic, sense of justice and purposefulness. Impaled by the mysterious politics of the work place.
