  1. Now this looks like a safer height Robin..still wearing the high heeled boots!! Tall trees make such good reflections, and still some Autumn colours there I see. Beautiful shot.

  2. Thanks, Perth. The fall color has lingered very late this year as it has remained warm. We are about to break a record for the warmest November ever recorded. This gave interesting, long lasting color to things which normally don't have it, like the oaks and rose foliage. Thanks for the compliment. And yes, for this one I was in flat shoes.

  3. I especially love the color of the butterscotch bushes. What a lovely place to sit.

  4. Such harmony in this image and the design within the frame is excellent. I love the subtle tones in the background and natural vignetting in the foreground and the lead-in to the point of interest in the center – Beautiful ~R~

  7. greenheron, thank you! The butterscotch bushes are rosa rugosas. You may know them as 'Beach roses." This year, they were an especially delicious color. It makes me think of Callard and Bowser butterscotch candy!

  8. Chris and Mike, no snow here on the coast, yet. We did have that blip at the end of October which left us with the white stuff, but none since. Oddly, five miles up the road north, there is snow on the gound! Thanks for the reads and comments and I'm glad I could give fond memories.

  11. Hilke, Carol and Julie thank you all. It was a sullen, brink of rain day that was perfect for that shot, to my mind. It was a day that most would have left their cameras at home.
