  2. What a beautiful spot, Maine is one of my very favorite places in the world. Each time we visit we come home thinking how lovely it would be to have a summer home there (I'm not brave enough to even consider a Maine winter after 20 years in Israel LOL.). Not very practical for people who live about 7,000 miles away, so we have to content ourselves with periodic visits during summer trips to New Hampshire.

I've never heard of a Ragged Robin before - you've got me intrigued! Off to go google it now :).

  6. Robin To Robin, Flos cuculis is another name for the flower. It's pink and has five petals. It's very pretty and blooms about the same time that the early irises do here. Makes a nice combo. I can see what you mean about not getting to Maine often from Israel. So, you can visit my blog and get a taste of this wonderful state every once in a while!

  7. Perth, funny you would bring that up, because it was VERY high and on the edge of a granite cliff. No railings, nor path even and I was wearing high heeled boots. Just call me a die hard fashionista! There was also a brisk wind. Had I fallen off that cliff it would have been all over. But, I would have died with my boots on as they say! Thanks for the compliment.

  9. M.C., thank you. That's a really nice thing to say. Nothing like a fan to make a girl feel like something special.

  10. Mama Bug, thanks. The water was that gorgeous, milky emerald color. Had I been at water lever rather than so high up, I'm sure it would not have looked the same.

  12. Another gorgeous picture! Imagine that, I always think of late November being rather dreary here in Maine, but that is really a beautiful scene! Your fan from WAY back,
