Love to watch eagles and hawks soar... they go for miles with nothing more than the occasional twitch of their wings.

Trudge, funny! I've never heard that one. I think I took two shots before the one I used here. But, I've taken thousands of eagle photographs in the past to be ready for this one. Thank you very much for the view, rate and comment.

The first time I went to the Ojibwa reservation in Northern WI, (20 years ago) I was given instructions by elders that it was considered rude to point or yell when you saw an eagle. I began to notice when an eagle soared above us, people would look up and use their chin to indicate an eagle siting.

You never fail to impress me with your photos. I grew up in Bay Ridge in Brooklyn and would spend long times on my back on the sea wall where there is now a highway marveling at the sea gulls sailing overhead. Flying has always struck me as pure magic.

I once saw a bald eagle like that canoeing along a river in North Carolina. I had seen it as a speck in the sky. Moments later there was a shadow on the water and I looked up to see what you captured on "film". It was breath taking. Thanks and R.

Hello Robin,great image..I love eagles and believe I have never seen one..The closest I have come to an eagle is by this image..and thank you for that..I love nature and in my images I try to learn nature..I am writing this because I want to thank you for the image..Now I know how real eagles look like..Best regards...
