My Controlled Chaos
Very pretty shot of the horse and rider and the lighthouse. Happy Scenic Sunday!
eileeninmd, thank you very much. One of the best parts of images like that one to me is that I can smell the salt air, the ocean and feel the breeze, too.
Wish I was there! Beautiful shot. tg withinMay 13, 2012 07:56 PM
Beautiful day, beautiful place. Hope you have a Happy Mother's Day. jmac1949
Inspiring photography. And remarkable athletics as you set the camera on automatic, ran like hell for the horse and then you and the horse quickly composed yourself for a delightful placidity to capture a sense of peace and relaxation in a lovely spot. Jan SandMay 13, 2012 09:25 PM
WOW! Your photos are gorgeous. Boomer Bob

tg, jmac, Jan, Boomer and Heidi, thank you for the rates and comments. And, Jan, you forgot the part about where I died my hair blonde BEFORE leaping upon the stable, steed for the shot. That was the really tricky part. I am lucky to live in such a beautiful place where the are gorgeous photo opportunities at every turn, even without athletics. I'm pretty lazy, so that's a good thing, too!
Water scenes always get to me! Beautiful! I Love LifeMay 14, 2012 09:01 AM

I Love Life, I never thought about that about water scenes, though I do agree with you. Water is so important to us in so many ways, including ways that we aren't aware of, that images with water evoke all kinds of feelings. I think it's especially interesting that water is what got you in that photo, though for most people, the rider, the beach and the lighthouse would be the first things to grab people's attention. Thanks for the rate, my dear!
I wish that when I post a photo like this, that with the posting comes an auto link to smell and sound. By sound, I don't mean an MP3 track of a song I like, but rather, wind, surf, sea gulls. It would be punctuated by the flubbery lipped snort of the horse. And I wish that smell, the fragrances of the sea would waft out to the screens of all you folks who take the time to look and be in that photo for a minute. Now, wouldn't that be lovely? thank you Mission.
You have such a good eye Robin. This particular picture gives me peace!!!I needed that. Thank you for sharing.
Annie O, thank you very much. I'm putting that particular image up for sale next week in Andrea Grand's Barn gallery here in Phippsburg. I hope I sell it. That would give me some piece from peace! :)
This would look wonderful on a gallery wall. And in my living room! Chicken MãâànMay 19, 2012 07:59 AM
Only once have I seen someone riding a horse along a beach. It was somewhere north of Boston ... I thought it would come back to me ...Thinking of the sounds ... the wind, the surf ... oh the surf ... and seagulls ... lovely gifts these ... anna1liese
