Hilke, Gary and Blair, thanks for this. At first glance, I didn't realize it was a Turkey Vulture, just something big and odd. The poor guy did a little dance up there before take off. Do you suppose the chimney was hot?
You do the best color in your photos! You caught that moment when the vulture's landing gear is headed toward its "up and locked" position. Very nice. Indelible Ink April 29, 2011 12:56 PM
Is it me.... or is that tail going into "up" position to ....... "flip us the bird!?!?!?!" Love it! I've actually seen one of those as it was about to take off. They are HUGE! Thank you Chrissie Pissie April 29, 2011 01:47 PM
Robin I really like the way you showed the height and shadow of the chimney. It must be an extremely tall one because it makes the TV look small? Or is it the angle?
Good capture!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteup up and away....nice capture Robin.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! Interesting composition, Robin.
