eileeninmd, thank you very much. One of the best parts of images like that one to me is that I can smell the salt air, the ocean and feel the breeze, too.
Inspiring photography. And remarkable athletics as you set the camera on automatic, ran like hell for the horse and then you and the horse quickly composed yourself for a delightful placidity to capture a sense of peace and relaxation in a lovely spot. Jan Sand May 13, 2012 09:25 PM
Late, but I made it to your post. What a tranquil area.Aren't you lucky to live in an area like this? Jan and his ever inspiring comments brought me here. Thank you,Robin, and thank you Jan. ~Rated~ Heidi Banerjee May 14, 2012 02:25 AM
tg, jmac, Jan, Boomer and Heidi, thank you for the rates and comments. And, Jan, you forgot the part about where I died my hair blonde BEFORE leaping upon the stable, steed for the shot. That was the really tricky part. I am lucky to live in such a beautiful place where the are gorgeous photo opportunities at every turn, even without athletics. I'm pretty lazy, so that's a good thing, too!
I Love Life, I never thought about that about water scenes, though I do agree with you. Water is so important to us in so many ways, including ways that we aren't aware of, that images with water evoke all kinds of feelings. I think it's especially interesting that water is what got you in that photo, though for most people, the rider, the beach and the lighthouse would be the first things to grab people's attention. Thanks for the rate, my dear!
I wish that when I post a photo like this, that with the posting comes an auto link to smell and sound. By sound, I don't mean an MP3 track of a song I like, but rather, wind, surf, sea gulls. It would be punctuated by the flubbery lipped snort of the horse. And I wish that smell, the fragrances of the sea would waft out to the screens of all you folks who take the time to look and be in that photo for a minute. Now, wouldn't that be lovely? thank you Mission.
Annie O, thank you very much. I'm putting that particular image up for sale next week in Andrea Grand's Barn gallery here in Phippsburg. I hope I sell it. That would give me some piece from peace! :)
Only once have I seen someone riding a horse along a beach. It was somewhere north of Boston ... I thought it would come back to me ... Thinking of the sounds ... the wind, the surf ... oh the surf ... and seagulls ... lovely gifts these ... anna1liese
A GREAT SPELL CASTER (DR. EMU) THAT HELP ME BRING BACK MY EX GIRLFRIEND. Am so happy to testify about a great spell caster that helped me when all hope was lost for me to unite with my ex-girlfriend that I love so much. I had a girlfriend that love me so much but something terrible happen to our relationship one afternoon when her friend that was always trying to get to me was trying to force me to make love to her just because she was been jealous of her friend that i was dating and on the scene my girlfriend just walk in and she thought we had something special doing together, i tried to explain things to her that her friend always do this whenever she is not with me and i always refuse her but i never told her because i did not want the both of them to be enemies to each other but she never believed me. She broke up with me and I tried times without numbers to make her believe me but she never believed me until one day i heard about the DR. EMU and I emailed him and he replied to me so kindly and helped me get back my lovely relationship that was already gone for two months.
